26 Weeks and Counting...

Time for what seems to be my quarterly update :)  Life has been pretty exciting/eventful over the last few months...Mikayla Claire Walker is making good progress and her due date is quickly approaching (May 11, 2009).  We are attempting, slowly but surely, to prepare for her arrival.  Progress continues on the nursery, the first round of paint is on the walls and most of the trim and doors are painted and ready to go.  I been buying little things for her room as I find them and that has been really fun.  Here are the color swatches for her nursery...

Mom and I are working on patterns/ideas for all the different pieces and I'll post photos if we ever get it done :)

An Update (Finally!) from the Walkers

Hello again everyone.  Sorry it's been so long since I've updated our page.  Michael and I are doing well and enjoying a pretty busy summer.  He continues to put in hours and hours at 

Game Crazy where he's still pretty happy to work.  I've also kept busy with work and am continuing to take Kung Fu a couple times a week.

Most recently I am happy to report that I will be trying out for American Idol on July 21st in Louisville, Kentucky.  My dad will be accompanying me on the trip and throughout the whole long drawn-out process.  Hopefully I'll be there for the whole long process anyway :)  I'll keep everyone posted with any news on that front.

I celebrated the 4th of July with some good friends at an "exclusive" pool party.  Meaning there were only three of us there!  Debbie, Emma, and I had a blast floating around in the pool and guessing the artists for every song that came on the radio.  It's really fun...you should try it sometime.  Here are some photos of the shindig...

My New Ride

After a year of nothing but problems from my Chevy Equinox I have traded it in for this sweet Honda Accord.  I LOVE IT! 

Pensacola

The Nodells and Walkers have arrived home safely from Pensacola, FL where we spent a week visiting Haley and Damien.  Highlights of the trip told through pictures..

Sorry there are no captions for these photos.  I'm still learning :)  You will notice there are only a couple pictures at the beach...that is because we all got burned so badly we couldn't go back after the first day!  Amelia, Hannah, and I are still peeling almost three weeks later!!!!  We had fun touring military museums with our excellent guide, Damien.  We also spent a lot of time shopping and just hanging out.

Greetings to all from the Walker Family...Adrienne (Audie), Michael, and Maisie.  We hope you enjoy our "blog" as we attempt to keep everyone apprised of our current events...I may have to make some stuff up to keep it interesting as we are not a very exciting bunch!

I guess our most recent news is to announce that on December 30, 2007 my beautiful sister Haley married her long-time boyfriend Damien.  It was a beautiful ceremony and the food at the reception was most excellent :)

In the near future a giant family vacation is planned for spring break 08.  The Walkers and the Nodells will be heading to Pensacola to visit Haley and Damien and spend some time on the beach.  We all know how much Michael and I need some sun :)
